Joel Moffat

Joel is our Principal Supervising Psychologist and Registered Behaviour Support Practitioner at Ivy Psychology. He has a specialist endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist and is a Board Approved Supervisor (PsyBa).
He has over fourteen years of experience working in Disability, Child Protection, Out of Home Care and in forensic and therapeutic settings, including private practice. Joel has experience with children, adolescents, adults and older adults in the areas of behaviour support and clinical psychology.
Joel currently works with Ivy's Sydney and Canberra teams, and is available to telehealth clients nationally.

Chad Henney

Chad works with children, adolescents, and adults, bringing a collaborative approach to his work with clients and their support networks. He is passionate about enhancing quality of life and considers this the most rewarding aspect of his role.
Chad is completing a Master of Psychology (Clinical) part-time. As Co-Director of Ivy Psychology, an NDIS-registered provider, he manages business operations, leads the behaviour support team, and maintains a caseload of clients. He has extensive experience supporting individuals with diverse and complex needs and has worked in both NDIS and private practice settings. Chad has ample knowledge of NDIS systems and processes, enabling him to navigate funding frameworks effectively and advocate for the best outcomes for clients. He has a keen interest in complex disability, neurodivergence, and the intersection of these with forensic contexts.
Chad is an active member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and has contributed to multiple APS committees over the past five years, including the Sydney Branch Student Sub-Committee and the ACT Branch Committee. He is currently a committee member of the APS Interest Group for Psychology of Intellectual Disability and Autism and is undertaking the APS Emerging Leaders Program in 2025.

Francesca is a provisionally registered Psychologist who holds a Master of Clinical Psychology and a Master of Professional Psychology. She works with adults, adolescents, and children, and utilises a blend of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support clients throughout their therapeutic journey.
With a warm and empathic person-centred approach, Francesca is passionate about helping individuals overcome challenges and flourish. She is driven by a desire to make a meaningful difference and contribute to a healthier and more inclusive society.

Bozena Zawisz

Bozena has been a practising Psychologist for over two decades. She enjoys helping clients navigate a range of mental health challenges such as anxiety, stress, depression, as well as socio-emotional and relationship challenges. Bozena employs an eclectic mix of therapeutic techniques, including mindfulness, cognitive behavior therapy, and emotion-focused therapy.
She also holds additional qualifications in Autism. Bozena is available nationally via telehealth and in Sydney for in-home psychology sessions.

Many people encounter challenges in their lives, often feeling unable to move forward due to unrecognised patterns, assumptions, or unresolved experiences. Moni’s work is centred on helping individuals gain clarity, self-awareness, and the tools needed to overcome these obstacles. She believes mental health goes beyond the mere absence of symptoms—it’s about fostering resilience, nurturing emotional well-being, and enabling individuals to thrive in all areas of life, including relationships, personal growth, and creativity.As a clinical psychologist, Moni collaborates with individuals to explore the deeper dynamics of their emotions, thoughts, and behaviours. By fostering a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment, she guides clients in understanding the influences of their unconscious mind and developing strategies to achieve meaningful change. Emma is a Provisionally Registered Psychologist who works with children, adolescents, and adults. She is committed to supporting her clients to achieve their full potential and is dedicated to creating an inclusive, safe, and non-judgemental environment where individuals feel heard and respected.
Over the past decade, Emma has worked across diverse settings, including government, private practice, and non-government organisations throughout the ACT and the NT. She brings extensive experience in working with young people and adults from culturally diverse backgrounds, tailoring her approach to meet each client’s unique needs.
Emma is currently completing a Master of Professional Psychology, further developing her skills in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, counselling, and psychological assessment. She currently provides psychology and behaviour support services to clients in Canberra and via Telehealth, ensuring accessibility and continuity of care for individuals across different locations.

Karen works with children, adolescents, and adults, using a strengths-based and person-centred approach to support each individual’s wellbeing and independence. She is passionate about empowering people with disability to achieve their goals and lead meaningful, fulfilling lives.
Karen has a Master of Social Work and is an accredited member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). She has over six years of experience in the disability sector, including roles as a support coordinator, care manager, and disability support worker. For the past 1.5 years, she has worked as a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner. This well-rounded background gives her a strong understanding of client needs and service systems, which she brings to her current role supporting NDIS participants across the lifespan.
Outside of work, Karen enjoys creative pursuits, staying active, connecting with others, and exploring new places through travel.

Emily is a registered nurse and registered proficient behaviour support practitioner. Emily has been a nurse for nearly 20 years and worked in behaviour support for 3 years.
Emily’s passion for supporting older adults in the community and residential care is demonstrated through her empathetic and understanding approach to their behaviour support needs.
With vast knowledge of the Aged Care Commission and NDIS legislation, Emily is able to support older adults and their support teams with up to date knowledge of restrictive practices and effective positive behaviour support strategies.
Emily also holds a Graduate Diploma in Psychology and a graduate diploma in Genetic Counselling.Emily is currently accepting new behaviour support referrals in Geelong and via telehealth.

Gerard holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and completed his senior year thesis on the unconscious and conscious states of human cognition, deepening his understanding of the complexities that shape human behaviour.
His work is rooted in building secure relationships and empowering clients to manage emotions effectively, including supporting neurodivergent teens in educational settings. Gerard is deeply invested in helping clients develop self-care, social skills, and independence, tailoring therapeutic interventions to evolving needs.
A key focus of Gerard’s professional interests lies in the mental health and wellbeing of young men, recognising the nuanced challenges they face in today’s world. By championing male mental health, Gerard fosters environments where authenticity and personal growth flourish, emphasising adaptability and resilience throughout each client’s journey.

Joshua is a psychology graduate from the University of Sydney. He has experience supporting children and adolescents in individual and group settings, including work within NDIS-registered practices delivering group programs that build social and communication skills, as well as providing home visits to support clients in their everyday environments. His work has included facilitating activities to promote peer interaction, confidence, and self-regulation skills.
He focuses on practical, evidence-based strategies to help clients achieve their goals, develop life skills, and improve overall wellbeing. Joshua is attentive to each client’s unique circumstances, adapting his approach to ensure that interventions are effective, relevant, and achievable.

Casey is skilled at delivering compassionate and inclusive support with practical evidence-based strategies for navigating challenges and encouraging personal growth.
Casey brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to her role, with over twelve years of experience working in both private and non-government organisations as a clinician, allied health assistant (occupational therapy), services & workforce manager, service coordinator, case manager and support worker within the human services sector.

Charlotte has an undergraduate psychology degree from UNSW, and is currently completing her Psychology Honours program at James Cook University.

Therapy Dog (in training)
Max is the resident therapy dog in training at Ivy Psychology. Max loves all people and other dogs. His favourite things to do are going for long walks, pats, chasing balls and frisbees (sometimes both at the same time).
